Zonta Club of Bonita Springs Celebrates its new Name to include Estero
International Organization Approves Name Change
Bonita Springs, Fla- March 16, 2017- The Zonta Club of Bonita Springs www.zontabonitasprings.com is growing and, to show it, the club has just been approved by Zonta International to change its official name to Zonta Club of Bonita Springs-Estero.
“We are delighted to announce that we have been officially granted the new name change to better serve the greater Bonita Springs and Estero areas, states Sara McCallum, Club President. “We have been considering this change for a few years and recently pursued it successfully.”
The organization plans to celebrate with an Open House on Wednesday, May 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at FineMark National Bank & Trust, located at 26800 Coconut Road, Bonita Springs. Light refreshments will be provided. Prospective members are invited to attend and learn more about the organization. Zonta Club of Bonita Springs was chartered on July 1, 1994 and continues to grow and prosper. The mission of the club is to improve the circumstances of women at all stages of life, locally and globally. The local club of professional businesswomen joins others to work tirelessly to empower women worldwide. Zonta International seeks to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women through service and advocacy.
Each year the club hosts an annual Woman of the Year fundraising luncheon and selects a local woman who exemplifies the club’s mission. This year’s event is set for Tuesday, April 18th at Bonita Bay Club. Cost to attend is $50 per person. Ms. Brenda Tate is the 2017 Honoree.
