Koreshan State Park
Guided historic tours on Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. – Explore the 19th century religious Koreshan settlement, its structures, and gardens. Join the guided walking tours and learn about these idealistic pioneers. The walking tour is about an hour and a half. Guided Tours are $2 for adults, $1 for children under 6 years of age and can be purchased at the Ranger Station (239) 992-0311. The Sunday Farmers Market and native plant sale, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., offers local and organic produce, fresh seafood, unique crafts, local honey, native plants, handcrafted jewelry, BBQ, Cuban food, beautiful art, and cool gifts. In addition, native plant experts are on hand to help answer your questions and teach you all about the benefits of adding native plants to your landscaping. Lee Health – Healthy Life Center
August highlights for the Estero Healthy Life Center include weekly Yoga for all levels, ballroom dancing, a cooking demonstration and a grocery tour for smart shopping for cancer prevention.
Each month they offer the Memory Café, a relaxed, friendly environment for those living with mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s or other dementias and their care partners to enjoy social activities, meet new friends, and learn something. Monthly gatherings include refreshments and enjoyable programs. See calendar for dates of all programs.

South County Regional Library
The Lee County Library System’s summer reading program, Libraries Rock!, continues to celebrate the joy of reading through August 11, with weekly programs designed to spark curiosity and engage library users of all ages.
Libraries Rock! Bingo provides adults with opportunities to win prizes, such as books and gift cards, while exploring library resources. The adult programming includes a variety of topics such as crafting, genealogy, business workshops, book discussion groups and gardening programs. The Library is located at 21100 Three Oaks Parkway.

College of Life Foundation Estero River Kayak Tour (2 hours)
You will be guided through the historic beauty of the Estero River. Beautiful live oaks and native palm trees create a canopy over this peaceful river. Full facilities and historic settlement are available at the Koreshan State Park and included in your visit. Excellent tour for beginners or the experienced paddler! Families can request a private tour at no additional charge. $45 includes all equipment need for this 2 hour Estero River Kayak Adventure.

Estero Community Park
The Recreation Center at the Estero Community Park offers exercise classes ranging from chair yoga to kickboxing, jazzercise to ballroom dancing, along with a number of special programs.

Florida Blue Center
The Florida Blue Center is offering Silver Sneakers Zumba on August 6. Join this fun dance fitness class which is a great workout for any fitness level. Bring a towel and a friend. The Center is also offering a three-part series to learn how to monitor blood pressure, understand medications and take small steps toward healthier living.
