Musicians across Southwest Florida partnered with the City of Bonita Springs and the Bonita Rotary International District 6960 to uplift those affected by Hurricane Irma. The Irma Goodness concert, featuring the Sarah Hadeka Band and friends, raised $29,000 last Friday evening. After event expenses, approximately $23,000 will be used to help locals affected by Hurricane Irma.

Funds raised by the event were a combination of ticket sales, raffle purchases and money raised through a silent auction. Mid-concert, it was announced that a $10,000 donation was also given by an anonymous member of the community.

Organizers are calling the Irma Goodness concert as a huge success, “Several local musicians just wanted to put our musical talent to charitable use after Hurricane Irma and our goal was really to uplift those affected and maybe raise some funds to donate. We are blown away by this outcome.  We are so proud of this event – it was truly a community effort!” – Sarah Hadeka, performer and Irma Goodness organizer.

Proceeds from the event will be distributed to locals affected by Hurricane Irma through the Bonita Springs Rotary International District 6960. More information can be found on their website:
