For Arts & Tourism Day, the Leadership Estero class took a tour of the Wasmer Art Gallery and learned about the art and theatre programs at Bower School of Music & the Arts at Florida Gulf Coast University. Dr. Amir B. Ferreira Neto of FGCU’s Regional Economic Research Institute presented on Southwest Florida’s population and tourism trends, and Nancy MacPhee of the Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau talked about the value of tourism on our community. Arts Bonita led the group through improv exercises that emphasized the importance of communication, and they learned about the history and growth of Theatre Zone in Naples.
